Blendtec Will It Blend Fail Costco Promotion Demo Disaster

Will It Blend? That is the question. Good news, Blendtec blenders are now available at Costco Australia just in time for Christmas. There was a promotional demonstration of their amazing ability and healthy samples for shopper to taste test in classic Costco shopping style. Problem was the person doing the demo was very inexperienced at showing off the blenders amazing abilities to make yummy smoothies and instant ice cream. It was a comedy of errors but after much persistence lovely samples were produced by the Blendtec blender. What was amazing to see is how these blenders make drinks which have all the fibre of the food in the drink, unlike a juicer which removes the fibre pulp to make a drink. Because of Blendtec's design and power these blenders mill down all the components and that makes for a much healthier drink. Once the demo smoothie drink was made correctly and served it was very yummy, my son LOVED the drink even though it looked very green and horribly healthy. Then it was time to make ice cream, but there were more problems, I think the wrong ingredients were used so it was take two again. After a re-load of the ingredients and a very noisy blend which seemed to stop blending a very thick and stiff thick shake / soft serve was made. To be honest I could not call it ice cream. But the most impressive demo which worked very well was making rice flour from grained rice. This really showed how effective the safe blending blade design works like a mill or grinder to refine the rice into a very fine flour in very little time. Blendtec have come in at a price much lower than the rival Vitamix blender at Costco, so it will be interesting to see how this new competition at the high end of the blender market works out.

I was so impressed by the Costco Blendtec store demonstration I purchased one to do toy blends with. It's weird because even though the in store demo was like a train wreck I ended up learning lots about the worlds best blender. I hope my video also lets you see the advantage in owing the worlds most advanced food and drink blender by Blendtec.

I'm sure buying one of these blenders would make for an amazing Christmas gift for anyone who loves to cook or is interested in a healthy diet and lifestyle. And if you get bored it's a good tool to destroy an old iphone, glow stick or golf ball. I'm sure I have seen that somewhere on YouTube ;)
