Stewed Soya Chunks | Taste of Trini

Stewed Soya Chunks is an amazingly delicious vegetarian dish. It can be eaten as an appetizer or with roti or rice. The good thing about soya is that it soaks up whatever seasonings you add to it.

Here's what you'll need:

1 pack of Soya Chunks- boiled for 15 minutes, and then squeezed to remove extra water

Salt

1/4 cup of Caribbean Green Seasoning

1 Scotch Bonnet Pepper, chopped

1 Onion, chopped

5 Pimento Peppers, chopped finely

A drizzle of Soy Sauce

1/4 cup of Ketchup (add more or less to your preference)

1 tablespoon of Oil

1 tablespoon of Brown Sugar

1 cup of Hot Water

2 tablespoons of chopped Bandhania/Shadon Beni/Culantro/Recao
