Homemade cake pops completely from scratch .This tasty cake pop recipe is great for making cake pops in all shapes and sizes. A fun edible party snack for a party or celebration.

CAKE POPS

Ingredients

1 eight-inch vanilla sponge cake
1½ cups chopped dark chocolate
2-3 tbsps sugar syrup
Colourful vermicelli for decorating

Method

1. Melt dark chocolate in the microwave oven for 30 seconds. Take it out and whisk. Melt it for 30 seconds more. Take it out and whisk till smooth.
2. Crumble half the cake in a mixer and put into a bowl.
3. Add 2-3 tbsps sugar syrup and mix well. Shape into even marble sized balls and place them in small paper cups.
4. Pierce small sticks into the balls and keep them in the refrigerator to chill.
5. Bring the pops out of the refrigerator. Spread a few coloured vermicelli in empty paper cups.
6. Dip the cake pops in melted chocolate, hold them over the bowl till extra chocolate drips and put them into the paper cups with vermicelli. Take them out when completely set and serve.
