Bakery style jam biscuits /cookies

Ingredients

1 cup /226 grams- unsalted butter,
2 cups/255grams - All purpose flour,
1 cup/ 120 grams - powdered sugar,
4 tablespoons- milk powder,
1 teaspoon- any fruit jam,
1 - medium egg,

Description

Preheat your oven at 350F.
Line a parchment paper to a baking tray.

In a medium sized bowl, whisk butter until smooth, add powdered sugar and beat until mixed well.
Scrape the sides with spatula.
Add 1 beaten egg. Mix

Mix the flour and milk powder to wet ingredients.

Knead into soft dough(add 2 tablespoons flour if dough is sticky).

Place prepared batter in piping bag with a tip(1M) to give a Rose shape.
Pipe it on a parchment lined baking tray.

Press in the middle of dough and add fruit jam.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes.

Take out of oven and allow it to cool.

Store them in airtight container in refrigerator.


Note - add 2 tablespoons of flour ,if you find difficulty making dough . Don’t add more as it hardens cookies.
