From head in the clouds to toes in the sand, Maui has it all. Taking the Phantom 2 with Zunmuse H3-2D gimbal and a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition with me has became almost as habitual as my wallet and cellphone, and I can't wait for more adventures to capture Maui from the sky. In this adventure I chased my truck with the Phantom while my buddies drove it. The first flight is in PoliPoli, about 7000ft above sea level where there is an awesome disc golf course, then we worked our way down the mountain through the sugar cane fields. The ocean-side flights were at La Perouse, the southern most tip reachable by normal traffic on this side of the island. Did a fly by with some of our friends who were paddleboarding, then it was back to town through the lava fields. I did have one close call where I swiped a tall bush with the phantom at full speed, luckily I only smacked the gimbal and not any of the props so came away unscathed. Then I lost it in the clouds and trees and VERY luckily spotted it and was able to bring it in right before the battery died. Great time by all :)
