No bake Pineapple Upside down cake | Steamed cake (Easy Recipe)

Topping Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter/margarine
3/4 cup light brown sugar
7 pcs. pineapple slices
7 pcs. cherry slices

Chiffon cake:

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp powdered milk
4 egg yolks
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract

Merigue:
4 egg whites
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp white vinegar

Topping procedure:

1) Melt light brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium low heat for 1-2 min.
2) Pour melted butter and sugar into the cake pan and spread it evenly
3) Arrange pineapple and cherries. Set aside

Cake Procedure:

1) Bring water to a boil
2) Combine all purpose flour, white sugar, powdered milk, salt and baking powder
3) In a separate bowl combine egg yolks, water, vegetable oiland vanilla extract. Mix well
4) Combine dry and wet ingredients
5) Meringue: Beat egg whites until foamy
6) Add white vinegar and beat until soft peaks form
7) Gradually add white sugar and beat until stiff peaks form
8) Fold in meringue into the cake batter
9) Pour cake batter over the toppings
10)Steam over med. low heat for 30-40 min.
11)Rest for 10 minutes
12)Slide a knife into the sides
13)Invert the cake pan into a cake board or serving plate
