Teacakes - recipe
- 450 g Very strong white bread flour
- 1 tsp Unrefined golden granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 100 g Margarine
- 150 ml Milk warmed
- 150 ml Warm water
- 1 Easy bake yeast sachet (7g)
- 100 g Sultanas
- 75 g Mixed peel
- 1 Egg(s) (free range) for the glaze

Place all the ingredients except the egg into a mixer with a dough hook, or mix together in a large mixing bowl.
Mix into a soft dough, knead for 5 minutes with a dough hook or 10 minutes if kneading by hand.
Divide into 6 portions – shape into rolls and place onto a greased baking tin.
Leave to prove until doubled in size. Preheat the oven to 190°C (fan 170°C, gas mark 5).
Bake for 20 minutes
