    Place the rice and cream with almost all the milk in a pan over a low heat and simmer. Keep the pan uncovered for 30-40 minutes, occasionally stirring to prevent the rice from sticking to the pan. Continue until the rice is tender and the milk is almost absorbed.  You may need to add more milk if necessary.

    For this step you'll need:

    • 75g Rice
    • 300ml Single cream
    • 600ml Milk (whole)

    Stir in  the sugar, cardamon and rosewater and continue cooking until thick and creamy.  Pour into serving dishes and leave to cool and set.

    For this step you'll need:

    • 75g Unrefined golden caster sugar
    • 4 Cardamom pods
    • 4tsp Rose water

    Sprinkle with cinnamon or pistachios just before serving.

    For this step you'll need:

    • Cinnamon ground
    • Pistachio nuts crushed
