    Put the ingredients into the bread maker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook).  Add most of the cheese, reserving a little to scatter over the top.  Set to the dough setting of your bread machine.

    For this step you'll need:

    • 275ml Warm water
    • 1tsp Unrefined golden caster sugar
    • 1tsp Salt
    • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
    • 1tsp Mustard powder dry
    • 1 tbsp Parsley fresh, chopped
    • 1 tbsp Sage leaves fresh, chopped
    • 1 Red onion small, chopped finely
    • 40g Cheddar cheese strong, grated
    • 450g Country grain bread flour
    • 1 Easy bake yeast sachet

    Remove the dough from machine and knead until smooth.

    Shape into a large twist, sprinkle with cheese and place onto a greased baking sheet.

    For this step you'll need:

    • 10g Cheddar cheese strong, grated

    Leave to prove until double in size.

    Bake at 190°C (170°C fan, gas mark 5) for 30 minutes.
