What is the best way to cook elk meat?

Planning now so you know what to do when they actually bag one. Wise move.

The guys say it is healthier than most red meat and white meat, such as the fact that it is lower in fat than steak and chicken.

It looks like red meat, though. Because elk doesn't fatten up in a holding pen, it has far less fat.

That means that when you cook it, it won't get much smaller. What is the best way to cook it?

Then I have to tell people its elk, not just beef with a lot of spices.

Do you want to lie and say it is beef so they eat it, or tell them it is elk that they are more likely to eat that than your usual offerings?
