Ingredients

Makes about 10 servings

110g butter
175g brown sugar
3 eggs
250g flour
10g baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

225g chopped dates
300ml hot water
1 tsp baking soda

Butterscotch Sauce:
55g butter
85g brown sugar
100g honey
125ml heavy cream

Bake at 180C for 40 minutes
