Neychoru, Ghee rice, Nei choru
Ingredients:
2 cups jeerakasala rice or Basmati Rice ( after washing well for 6 to 7 times, soak in water for 20 minutes)
4 cups water (for cooking the rice)
1 tbsp ghee for the rice
2 bay leaf
2 cardamom
1 tsp chopped carrot
1 tsp chopped cabbage
2 tbsp onion
salt to taste
juice of 1/2 a lemon
For caramalising the onions:
1 onion
ghee as required
salt to taste
