As a Filipino living in France cooking Bukayo a Filipino coconut candy brings the Philippines closer to home for me, in the Philippines this Bukayo recipe is also known as coconut brittle a lovely Filipino dessert recipe.

This Bukayo is definitely a Filipino dessert recipe that makes you want more as it's so delicious and addictive.

This Bukayo recipe is cooked from my Filipino cooking channel in English and is just one of many Filipino dessert recipes within my playlist entitled ' Filipino desserts in English'.

This Bukayo recipe is made from just 3 ingredients and is a very easy Bukayo recipe, slow-cooked over 40 minutes to create a delicious Filipino sweet dessert.

My mother used to cook Bukayo for all the children in our village back in the Philippines and its wonderful that I am now making Bukayo for my children here in France.

Here are the 3 ingredients for my Bukayo ( Coconut candy)

500 g grated young coconut (buko/butong)
4 cups of brown sugar
I/4 cup of water ( or 6 tbsp of water)
