Jell-O in Ice Cream? Is it ice cream? Is it a Jell-O Frozen Dessert Recipe? Who knows… this depression era no churn ice cream recipe is pretty cool, and gives a snapshot look at a world just digging out of financial ruin - but running headlong towards WW2.

Ingredients:
½ pkg raspberry Jell-o
½ cup boiling water
½ cup sugar
3 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup cream
Pinch of salt

Method:
Dissolve Jell-o in the hot water with the sugar.
Add the milk and the vanilla.
In another bowl whip the cream with the salt.
Fold the whipped cream into the milk, and freeze.
