Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients:
For Cake
Maida 180 GM's
Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
Baking soda 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Castor sugar 200 gms
Butter milk 240 ml
Vegetable oil 120 ml
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
Red gel color 1 tbsp
Vinegar 1/2tsp
Method:
1.Mix the dry ingredients like maida, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and sieve it to eliminate lumps.
2.Add castor sugar and mix.
3. Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, red gel color and make a smooth batter.
4. Lastly add vinegar and mix it.
5. Take three 6' tins grease and line them and put equal amounts of batter in each tin.
6. Bake these in a preheated oven at 180*C for 15min.or till done.
7. Cool these cakes and unmould them.
Ingredients for icing:
Cream cheese 150 gms
Castor sugar 50 hms
Vanilla extract 1 tsp.
Whipped cream (chilled) 250gms
Method:
1. In a bowl take the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract and beat it well and keep aside. Do this on slow speed to avoid curdling of cheese.
2. In another bowl take the whipped cream and beat it to soft consistency.
3. To the beaten whipped cream add the cream cheese mixture and mix by cut and fold method.
4. Use this to ice the cake as shown in the video.
5. Refrigerate the cake for three hours and enjoy it with friends celebrating the day to the hilt.
