Many ask should I work out when sore? Cat Kom and Bethany talk about how working out when you're sore can actually help with recovery! Let’s say you're sore after an intense workout; sitting still right afterwards, or even the next day, is likely just going to make it worse than if you were to get your blood pumping. You can do so by doing a low impact workout, such as an endurance Spinning® workout (where you use lighter resistance), a hot yoga class, a light jog, or even just a brisk walk. My favorite is to do a Spin® workout, because I feel like it really helps the blood circulate throughout your body, which promotes and accelerates muscle recovery. Interesting to think that taking a Spin® class when you're sore can make you feel much better, isn't it!? That's why we recommend a light workout when your muscles are sore. Plus, you'll get the benefit of that extra calorie burn that comes as a result of Spinning® and other low impact workouts.
