Amazing Sour Cream Pound Cake recipe, aka Ghana cake

2 sticks of butter (1 cup margarine)
3 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
3 cups all purpose flour
6 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

First sift the baking soda and flour, mix together and set aside. In a mixing bowl, mix the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the sour cream and mix until well incorporated. Add the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating each egg one at a time. Add vanilla and pour the mixture into a greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 50 minutes to an hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
