1936 30-pound Butcher Scale Restoration. Tough!

This restoration took an entire month and was by far my most challenging restoration to date. I was delighted to find a date of 5/36 inside this scale, which doesn't have a single piece of plastic on it and would work for 10,000 years if you kept it out of the elements. It was obvious it had been heavily used for decades, and someone repainted it in terrible fashion generations ago. The amount of sanding went on for countless hours, as the destroyed chrome plating was returned to a beautiful brass shine.
