In this video I will be preparing, step-by-step the tasty Red Velvet Cake. Please watch video carefully and remember to have ingredients at room temperature.

Red Velvet Cake - Please Watch Video Carefully


2 ½ Cups Cake Flour

1 ¾ Cup Sugar

1 Tablespoon Cocoa

2 Eggs

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1 Teaspoon Salt

1 Cup Buttermilk

2 oz Red Food Coloring

1 Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

1 Teaspoon Pure Lemon Extract

1 ¾ Wesson Canola Oil

1 Tablespoon Vinegar


Directions:

Combine Vinegar and Cocoa

Cream Sugar and Wesson Canola Oil add eggs until mix has a consistency with butter. (VERY IMPORTANT STEP)

Sift flour, baking soda, salt together

Add vinegar mixture to sugar mixture
Gradually add flour and Buttermilk
Hand mix red food coloring and extracts to batter

Bake at 350° for 35 minutes


Icing

1 Cup Chopped Nuts
1 Stick of Unsalted Butter
2 Cups Powdered Sugar
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 Teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon of Pure Lemon Extract
