Hot Chocolate 3 ways

Serves: 3 Servings

6 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
4 cups whole milk
¼ cup chocolate syrup

In a large saucepan, over medium-low heat, add the milk and bring to a simmer. Do not boil. Whisk in chocolate, and chocolate syrup. Whisk until chocolate has melted. Turn off heat. Whisk vigorously to form the foam.

Gingerbread hot chocolate
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon allspice
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon sea salt

Toppings:
Whipped cream
Marshmallows
Little gingerbread men

Peppermint hot chocolate
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract

Toppings:
Whipped cream
Crushed peppermint chocolates
Candy canes

Fluffernutter hot chocolate
¼ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup marshmallow fluff

Toppings:
Chopped roasted peanuts
Mini marshmallows
Marshmallow fluff
