Bread Malai Roll
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Serves: 8-10 Rolls
For Rabri
1/2 liter Full Fat Milk
1/4 Cup or 4 tablespoon Milk powder
4 tablespoon Sugar
Saffron soaked in 1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
For filling
1/2 cup milk powder
1 tablespoon Ghee
2 tablespoon milk
1/2 cup Malai
2 tablespoon sugar
Method:
In a pan add milk, sugar & milk powder. Mix well so that no lumps are there
When milk comes to a boil, add saffron soaked milk (Soak a pinch of saffron in 2 tbsp milk). Stir well.
Cook it on high flame and stir continuously for 6-7 minutes or until milk reduces to half. Don’t make it too thick as once milk cools down, it will become even thicker
Add cardamom powder. stir and remove from heat.
Now in another pan heat 1 tsp Ghee or clarified butter. Add 1/4 cup malai or milk. Mix.
Add milk powder & sugar. Stir well so that no lumps are there.
Cook this until mixture becomes like a lump or dough. Let it cool down.
Take a bread slice. Trim the sides. And roll thin with a rolling pin.
Take some filling, give it a cylindrical shape and put it on the rolled bread and make rolls.
In a serving plate, put these rolls. Pour prepared rabri over it. Garnish with Some chopped pistachio and almonds.
