Braising is a core cooking technique that every home cook needs to know. It is how professional cooks, like Jamie Oliver, turn relatively cheap, inexpensive cuts of meat into something special.

In this video, I show you how to sear off some short ribs, which helps create a deep nutty flavor in the braise. Then I create a braising liquid from some red wine, stock and vegetables. Over a couple hours the meat become super tender, moist and flavorful.
